Shipping And Receiving Clerk

The primary result expected from the Shipping/Receiving/ Packout Clerk will be to coordinate receipt, distribution, and packaging of raw materials and finished goods into and out of the facility. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will monitor raw materials and supplies, coordinate movement to inventory and movement of materials within the plant.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:

1. Receive, move, store and complete required records of products received.
2. Inspect, Pack, Label, and assist in schedule and Coordinate shipment of product out of the plant.
3. Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
4. Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales and purchasing.
5. Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
6. Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or
replacement as necessary.
7. Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.
8. Confer with Staff, Quality, Users, and Vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine
corrective action.
9. Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.
10. Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up
undelivered goods.
11. Strive to continuously improve processes, communications, and efficiencies.
12. Be an example of the 'Dowco Values' in and outside of the workplace.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
